Cinco de Mayo ...

Friday (Cinco de Mayo) my coworkers and I decided to order lunch from Baja Fresh! We love Baja Fresh. Baja Fresh is wonderful. Here is my tale ...

Placed the order at 11:45 am
They told me to be there at 12:00 pm
Got there and waited in the pick up line for 25 f*in minutes, while the walk in-line has 2 registers and 1 was empty…

The people in front of me ordered at 10:30am and said they would be there at 12 :00 pm and they didn’t get helped till like 12:20 and theirs wasn’t even halfway done when they told them they would pick it up at 12...arghhh

It was my turn, I gave my number (45) to a lady who said ok and walked to the end of the counter and stood there doing nothing at all, not even looking for my order ... so another lady came and asked the guy behind me his number and I jumped in and was like NO WAIT and he apologizd and the other lady was like.. "I thought you were being helped" and I said "yeah I thought so too by that lady over there who didn’t do anything so no I’m not being helped" .. so they went to look and came back and she was like it’s almost done and I freaked out

I was like.. you told me to be here in 15 minutes and I’m picking up salads and 2 tacos and they’re not ready.. they said how it’s cinco de mayo and I was like.. I don’t care.. don’t tell ppl to be here at a certain time if the food wont be ready and they kept saying stuff that I couldn’t understand so said do I get anything for free and they laughed and I said I’m serious I have been here for 25 min and my food is not ready.

The big clean-up

This weekend I got some energy... more like a lot of energy. On Saturday night, my previous plans were cancelled so I decided to stay in and just relax...my relaxing turned into a sudden burst of uncontrolable energy in the form of CLEANING.

Juli's old bedroom had become the storage room. The place to just throw everything. Yes there's a couch in there and a tv in there...but with the recent death of the PS2, no tv has been watched in that room. To sum this up.. that room had shit thrown everywhere; you couldn't even walk in it.

I stepped in the room with a lot of garbage bags, swiffers, windex, dust rags, every cleaning supply known to man and cleaned the hell out of that room! IT IS CLEAN. You can actually sit on the couch, watch tv, hang out, do whatever you want in that room.

My "energy boost" turned into an all out cleanfest...I cleaned the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom. I kept cleaning and organizing. I went through closets and everything.

Sunday morning I woke up and thought of what I should do and as I was thinking I started to clean the shower and bathtub....I mean I scrubbed and bleached and just made it shine.

Now I'm sitting in the one room I didn't clean and NO I'm not going to clean it tonight, but maybe after the gym tomorrow!

I need some memory pills ...

So I just want to thank everyone for wishing me a happy birthday and for celebrating with me! Where shall I begin...

Last weekend Aimee, Doug, LJ, Fred & I went to A.C. and got crazy! We met up with my friend Jill and her man Dave for all of about 10 minutes, and then we continued to party! The only way to sum up that weekend is: Trashing the room, Jaeger Shots, Window diving, Craziness!

Last night a bunch of us went out to celebrate Me & Marie's birthdays! Doug was out with us, and since his birthday is in January also - we celebrated his also! Last night was also crazy! I actually can't remember the last part of the night, so if anyone wants to fill me in, I would greatly appreciate it! I do want to thank Gabe for coming out and bringing all his friends! I also want to mention that Me & Jaeger will not become a habit. lol

Happy early birthday Marie - I hope you had as much fun last night as I did ...Or as I can remember.

Super Fast

Ok, how fast was Christmas this year? No, seriously? I feel like it just crept up on us all and then sped away. It's totally over with - totally gone! All that time decorating and cooking and shopping and waiting in lines and fighting for parking spots and ... it's gone. Now we get to deal with paying the bills, exchanges, returns, waiting in lines to use gift certificates, etc. Catch my drift?

Well, after saying all that I just wanted to let you know that I had a very nice Christmas. It was nice and I got to spend it with my family and friends and that's what'a most important.

Now onto New Years!

Other news: Brooke had Tess Marian Powell on 12/22/05 at 2:15 pm weighing 8 lbs 9 oz and 21" long. Mommy and Baby are doing great! Daddy is doing great also! I will post pictures soon!

What's up there.....Snowman?

So it snowed again. Today the snow didn't bother me as much since my office called me to tell me not to come in because we would be closed. Here is my morning:

5:45 am - wake up, shower, do my hair, makeup, begin to get dressed when...
6:30 am - phone rings
6:30:30 am -

• "Lynn, good morning it's Harvey. Do you have off today"?
• "Nope"
• "Well you have off now! We're not opening the office so call your people"

That was a nice surprise!

So all I have done today is... Sleep, watch both Jerry Springer's, play on the computer, cleaned off my car and went to A&P, made lunch, gonna watch a movie and maybe wrap some presents! Woooohoooo

Work sucks without Brooke there. I mean, I do like the other people I work with but it sucks when I want to immediately turn to my left and make a face or complain or just chat and there's only an empty chair..Boo

Catch-Up

Ok, I have a lot to fill you all in on. Where oh where to start.

Juli & Sean were married on Nov. 19th in Long Island. It was so beautiful and a lot of fun. I will def. post pictures soon. It was a little chilly out, but all that drinking and dancing warmed us up. lol
Highlight - me catching the bouquet. Why is this the highlight you ask? I was in my football stance, I jumped - knocked it in the air and when it fell I hip-checked a 7 yr old out of my way to get it!

Nicole, Steve & kids moved the day after the wedding. That was hard for me. I kept putting off saying goodbye till the very last minute and when the time came, I was hysterical. I know I will see them again, but I like being able to call them and just go there whenever I want to... now I'll have to fly.

Turkey Day - was a lot of fun and filling! T & I went to my parents early afternoon and tried not to eat a lot because at 4 we went to Gina's and ate a lot there! I lovejust hanging out with family and friends and eating and drinking. So much fun. And nothings more fun than playing with silly Danny!

This weekend - I went to Crobar with LJ, Scott, Greg, Doug, Dan, etc... Lots of fun! LOTS OF FUN! We had a table and lots of alcohol. We didnt' actually get inside till about 2:15, the first time I looked at the time was 5:45 and I couldn't believe I was still up and out. My friend LJ is the best and helped us out a lot and all my other friends rule too!

My last news is..

MARIE AND BOOG ARE OFFICIALLY ENGAGED!

Yes, they have been for about 1-2 months but he proposed to her again on Turkey Day and got on one knee and asked her as he handed her her giant rock! It's so pretty! Congrats to them!
